Diamond Coast Wedding - Cathriona and Keiran

Winter weddings can be magical to capture. Christmas decorations in the hotels and churches add a special sparkle to the aesthetics of the day. But aside from the obvious additions of christmas trees and fairy lights, some of the best light you will get is around this time of year. Sunsets become more vivid because of the lower humidity and sun angles. Sunsets boasting vibrant oranges and reds paired with the backdrop of the wild atlantic way and you’re on to a winning backdrop for your wedding photography.

I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Cathriona and Keiran in early January. We were fortunate that we got a dry day and managed to capture some stunning creative shots with some of the great winter light. Cathriona and Keiran had their wedding ceremony in Charlestown followed by reception in the Diamond Coast in Enniscrone which really decorate their venue amazingly for Christmas. One of the advantages of it getting dark around 4pm means that it feels like night time earlier, which always creates a better party atmosphere in my opinion! The reception of this wedding was fantastic, it definitely didn’t feel like Christmas was over. I really enjoyed capturing your day – Thank you so much Mr and Mrs Flatley!
