Radisson Blu Sligo Wedding | Niamh Cowley & Cormac McGowan
Niamh and Cormac’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of family, tradition, and coastal elegance, rooted deeply in place and meaning. From a heartfelt morning in Rathlee, to a seaside ceremony and portraits along the Sligo coast, their day finished with an evening of celebration at the Radisson Blu Hotel Sligo.
The day began at Niamh’s family home in Rathlee, Easkey, nestled close to the iconic Rathlee Tower. The house was filled with soft light, laughter, and a gentle sense of anticipation as the morning preparations unfolded. It was relaxed, unhurried, and full of warmth.
As hair and makeup got underway, the wedding details were carefully laid out, each one chosen with real thought and intention. One of the most meaningful touches was a set of personalised teddy bears prepared for the flower girls and page boys, a beautiful keepsake and a reflection of Niamh’s thoughtful nature.

Wedding Morning in Rathlee, Easkey

The morning was filled with quiet, emotional moments. Niamh helped her dad with his bow tie before gifting thoughtful presents to her bridal party, small gestures that spoke volumes. While her dad added the finishing touches to his speech, Niamh stepped into her dress, marking the moment when the day truly began to feel real.
Niamh looked effortlessly elegant in a modern satin gown, complemented by a delicate beaded tulle shoulder drape that added texture and a contemporary edge. The simplicity of the dress suited her perfectly, allowing her natural confidence and calm presence to shine.

Star of the Sea Church, Rathlee Wedding Ceremony

Together with her dad, Niamh arrived in a beautiful vintage car at the Star of the Sea Church in Rathlee, Easkey. The ceremony was intimate and heartfelt, shared with close family and friends in a setting that holds deep local significance.

After the ceremony, family photographs were taken at the church doors, continuing a cherished tradition and allowing everyone a moment together before the celebrations moved on.

Coastal Wedding Photos at Rathlee Tower and Rosses Point
With Rathlee Tower just moments from the family home, we took the opportunity to stop there for a photograph with family. The historic tower and coastal surroundings provided a stunning backdrop, capturing relaxed, natural portraits that reflected both the place and the people.
From there, Niamh and Cormac travelled on to Rosses Point, Sligo for a creative session by the sea. The coastline offered a beautiful contrast, open skies, soft tones, and space to slow down and take it all in together before heading on to the evening celebrations.
