Radisson Blu Sligo Wedding | Kate O’Hara & Tomás Kelly

Kate and Tomás’ wedding day was a perfect blend of simplicity, emotion, and iconic Sligo scenery. With everything unfolding close to home and finishing at the Radisson Blu Hotel Sligo, the day felt calm, personal, and beautifully grounded from start to finish.
The morning began at Kate’s family home in Ballinafad, directly across the road from the church. With everything so close, the pace of the morning felt relaxed and unhurried. While Kate put the finishing touches in her childhood home, my second shooter Steve headed to the Radisson Blu Hotel Sligo to photograph Tomás and the lads as they got ready, capturing easy moments, quiet anticipation, and plenty of laughter before the ceremony.

Back at Kate’s home, the atmosphere was warm and calm. With familiar surroundings and family close by, there was a lovely sense of ease to the morning. These moments, unforced and unhurried, set the tone for the rest of the day.

The ceremony itself was everything a couple could hope for, smooth, heartfelt, and beautifully intimate. With family and friends gathered just steps from Kate’s childhood home, it felt deeply personal and meaningful, a celebration rooted in place and connection.

After the ceremony, we returned to Kate’s home to take family photographs in the garden. It was the perfect setting, natural, relaxed, and full of warmth. With no rush and plenty of space, everyone was able to enjoy the moment together, creating photographs that felt genuine and effortless.

From there, we made our way to the Radisson Blu Hotel Sligo for Kate and Tomás’ couple portraits. The hotel grounds offered a fantastic backdrop, and with Benbulben standing proudly in the distance, the setting couldn’t have been more iconic.

The soft light and dramatic Sligo landscape tied everything together beautifully, creating timeless images that reflected both the day and the place Kate and Tomás chose to celebrate.
