Autumn is a very special time of year to shoot a wedding. The autumnal colours against the stunning Irish landscape give you the perfect backdrop to work with. Jade and her bridal party opted to get ready in the beautiful Castle Oaks Hotel bridal suites.

When the majority of the ‘getting ready’ shots have been taken I like to leave a bit early and get shots of the groom at the church. This gives the bride some time to herself to take it all in after the busy morning and to prepare herself for the arrival to the church.

Jade and Stephen had their ceremony in a beautifully quaint church in the countryside, surrounded by autumnal decor that finished off the scene of fairytale woodland wedding perfectly. After an intimate ceremony, we used the surrounding countryside to our advantage for the creative shots. We then travelled on to the Castle Oaks house hotel for reception.

The Georgian House is set amidst acres of beautiful mature gardens & woodlands that lead down to the banks of the River Shannon. We completed our creative shoot here and then after the reception I shot the couple enjoying their firework display/sparklers guard of honour surrounded by family and friends. A beautiful day from start to finish – Congratulations Mr and Mrs Maher!
