Amanda and Karl had decided to have a traditional church wedding ceremony for their big day in Ballymote. Before the service, I went to Amanda and Karl’s beautiful home to photograph the bridal preparations. The Autumnal colours in the foliage gave a lovely rich backdrop for the photos outside the church of the bridal party arriving.

After Amanda and Karl officially became Mr and Mrs Scanlon surrounded by their family and friends, we travelled from Ballymote to Westport to the reception and also to capture the creative shots. The great advantage of Breaffy House is the stunning gardens surrounding it. This meant we didn’t have to travel to another location to get some good creative shots. Ideally you want to keep your locations close together so you can spend as much time as possible with your guests, so this worked great for that.
